Here hangs a mango, neatly framed
As the King of Fruits, it is highly famed
Starts out green, grows in sheen
Gathers mass without pause
Round and fleshy it slowly turns
And soon a fiery yellow it burns
Now, a parrot or squirrel might get to it first
If you wanna beat ’em show some zest
Even when you face a wall,
Remember there is life
You can grow, blossom and give out fruits…
Change your path, Go over the hurdle, or Break the block…
May every wall spur action!
Note: When I see this fresh tree, full of life, in front of the mossy, dilapidated wall, I feel the contrast and the endless possibilities in life. Hence the poem above!
Strikes a pose
I stop mid-stride
Absorbing the loveliness, bonafide
A small presence
Making a big difference
In the dreary surrounding
Standing as a blessing
Oh beholder, take care
To see benevolences that stare!

The Dawning Flower
For you all, from my terrace garden today. Have a day as lovely as this flower!
On a trip to a beach resort, I saw a cat walking on a roof, intending to climb a tree close by.
My son is extremely fond of cats, and I wanted to take some photos to show him. But then, I failed to focus properly and the result was a series of ghostly images. However, I liked them quite a bit and hence sharing!
Mango, Neem, Flame of Forest – all trees in full bloom – appear in the skyline. Yesterday, coastal Chennai, India.
You come to the tree
and twitter away
Exhibit some spirit
and hold me in sway
You jump about
With restless energy
And commune with your mate
in complete synergy
Watching you every morn
And hearing your song
Gives me joy
All day long
